![]() From watching the staff pick the veggies that will turn up on our dinner plates later in the day, to the awesome 'spa' experience in the dedicated spa area.we could not have chosen better. This family owned, and run, B&B is the best we've ever experienced. However, we won't let that deter us from visiting again during the warmer months. Our 29th anniversary in September of 2015.still holds the best memories of the whole year! When at least once a week since then we talk about going back, or something special about that weekend, it is clear Cedar Crest made an indelible mark on our travel experiences. By far our favorite B&B breakfast to date! Had it not been for the heater issue (which really was a bummer considering the high cost to stay: $261.04 including taxes/fees), our stay would have been perfect. My husband & I both absolutely loved the food! Potato & provel omelette, thick cut crispy bacon, cinnamon scones, fresh fruit, & fresh squeezed OJ. As a consolation, the innkeeper brought breakfast to our room. Thankfully, the heater randomly kicked on around 9:30am, so the room warmed up before check-out. We chose the latter as I didn't not fancy packing up my belongings to move rooms for only a couple of hours. After several failed attempts to get it working (by both us & the innkeeper), we were offered the option to shower in another room or have a couple space heaters brought to our room. In all fairness, the outside temps dipped below 0, so I s'pose the equipment wasn't capable of keeping up with such extreme weather. Which was a big bummer as we had hoped to sleep in on New Year's Day. Unfortunately, the only hiccup was the heater quit working in the middle of the night & we woke up at 7am absolutely freezing. We thoroughly enjoyed the peaceful surroundings. ![]() Had it not been so cold, we would have loved to explore the grounds & use the pool. The steam shower was nice, but not something we would spend extra on to have. Lovely decor, super comfortable bed, & great amenities for a B&B room (TV w/ cable & DVD player, small refrigerator, microwave, private bath, etc). Unfortunately, all standard rooms were already blocked out, but we were able to book the Wine Country suite. ![]() My husband & I reserved a room mid-August for NYE. ![]()
